Helping domestic violence..

Part of our mission at Willow Tree is to educate and inform. So in this post, we will address how to help victims of domestic violence. One of the most important things is listening to the survivor. Often, people who have been or are being abused do not have anyone who regularly listens to them. Be willing to engage and start conversations, listen without judgment, know the warning signs and red flags of abuse. It is imperative to show support and trust the survivor’s account, believing that it is true is very powerful. It is essential to offer support, that support should be specific, one good place is to help them is forming a safety plan.
